Italian Food Desserts
What is your favorite dessert of the culture (soul food, Chinese, American, Japanese, Italian).?
I think food the soul is the best dessert. peach cobbler and sweet potato pie with a side of ice cream is like heaven in a bowl! Desserts Americans are good, like cheese, ice cream, chocolate cookies, etc., but I gotta go with the food of the soul!
Love Italian cuisine. There are many delicious things for you to do with it. paninis, hot pasta cold pasta, cold pizza, hot pizza, Italian bread, all different types of meat and fish and my favorite dessert is the last Italian ice! Honestly, if ever have had, is like heaven in a bowl. is like the style of the Italian ice cream. just prepared differently, but makes all the difference. I first when I went to Italy and I have not yet found a place in the United States and is manufactured in Italy. closest I found is this place called capo Philadelphia Tower, PA. I think it's a chain, so that you may be able to find one. Try it, it's unbelievable! haha

Italian Food Desserts I need an Italian food recipe fast!?
Ok so in a class for school my partner and i have to make some sort of quick, easy italian dish… i need specific instructions… I would like somethin in the line of desserts…
Fave dei morti
Ingredients:
2 cups peeled almonds
1/3 cup pine nuts
1 – 1/3 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
1 egg
lemon zest from 1/2 lemon
pinch of cinnamon
1 Tbsp. Italian grappa
Instructions:
1. Chop the almonds finely. I do it in a food processor by turning it on and off quickly until I have the desired size. Don’t just turn it on and let it run or they turn into a cream.
2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and then combine the eggs one at the time.
3. Once they are mixed in well the dough should start to hold together.
4. A bit at a time roll into long rolls about 1/2 inch thick.
5. Cut them into pieces about 3/4 inch long.
6. Poke each one with your finger to make a sort of dent in the middle.
7. Place them on a baking sheet which has been greased with butter and dusted with flour.
8. Beat the egg whites slightly with a fork and gently brush some of it on the cookies. Just a bit.
9. Bake them for 15 to 20 minutes at 325°.
10. Serve once they’ve cooled.
Notes:
This recipe will make around 80 bite sized cookies.

Dessert Recipes Does anyone have any simple and unique dessert recipes and ideas?
I like to cook much more than bake so I rarely make any kind of desserts. I need some recipes and ideas. I’m looking for ways to maybe jazz up a cake mix or something along those lines.
Fresh Lemon and Lime Curd Puddings…….serves : 6
50g butter
150g caster sugar
2 medium eggs, separated
Finely grated zest and juice of 2 lemons and 2 limes
200ml full cream milk
50g self-raising flour
Icing sugar, to dust
Preheat oven to 180ºC/Gas Mk 4. Grease 6 x 250ml ovenproof cups or ramekins and place on a baking sheet. Cream the butter and 100g of the sugar until pale and fluffy. Whisk in the egg yolks one at a time.
Pour the juice from the lemons and limes into a measuring jug and make up to 150ml using either more juice or cold water, if necessary. Gradually whisk the juice into the mixture – don’t worry if it looks slightly curdled.
Whisk in the milk, then sift the flour over the top of the mixture, whisking well. Fold in half the grated lemon and lime zest. Cover the remaining zest and set aside.
Whisk the egg whites for 3-4 minutes until soft peaks form, then gradually whisk in the remaining sugar. Fold the egg whites into the mixture until evenly incorporated. Divide into the prepared ramekins and cook for about 20-25 minutes until the tops are risen, set and slightly golden.
Remove from the oven. Dust with icing sugar and serve, decorated with the remaining lemon and lime zest.
While cooking, the mixture for these puddings separates and the juices form a thick, curd-like sauce beneath the sponge.
(These puddings are also delicious served cold with a spoonful of whipped cream) (You could make one large pudding in a 1 litre ovenproof dish. Cook for 40-45 minutes)
