What is the best traditional Italian restaurant in San Antonio, Texas?
I am an Italian food critic, though I'm German, French and Hispanics, which should have been born Italian. I went to Pompeii, after going to several places and their menu was dull, their installation was not traditional Italian, but a $ 2.5 million more elegant historical building fun inch waitresses and hostesses who dress like whores. Pompeii = not good. Horrible Alfredo sauce in fettuchcine mabye worse than Chili's, Marie Callender's = better. The chicken had added that it was horrible and tasteless grilled. Cannoli for dessert = off, Johnny Carino's tasted better, sweeter, and you two by only 1.50 or so. Your ministroni was good, the eggplant parmesan was the best theme had. My mom told me that his spaghetti was in bad taste and chicken parmesan was more or less. Paesano = far better than I had. Tired of Carino, OG, uncle, and Romano = good food, the menu does not. Carrabba = b munu good mate, Amore (new) = bad, Il Panino = expsv too long to remember or Sorrento Piatti
Sorriento of Broadway is EXCELLENT! Bravo on the new shopping center Canterra is pretty good, but I would not call it authentic. But for now, my favorite Italian food in San Antonio Little Italy is in the west of the avenue.
