Italian Cooking Schools
Themed dinner cooking ideas?
I have to make a themed dinner for school.. Like Italian or something, but everyone’s doing Italian D:
I need an appetizer, main coruse and dessert.. It also has to be something I’m capable of preparing
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Mexican:
Make tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas and or fajitas for a main course. As for an appetizer you could just do chips and salsa or bite sized tacos. I don’t really know what you could do for dessert though.
edit: here’s a site that lists a lot of Mexican dessert ideas

Japanese:
Serve sushi or a Japanese salad or soup as an appetizer. Miso soup is really simple, easy and quick to make. All you really need for a basic one is green onions, miso paste (which you can get at most grocery stores that have their own sushi stand) tofu and water. You can also add soy sauce, bean sprouts or mushrooms.
For a main course serve something like chicken or beef teriyaki. You can even get the sauce in a bottle which will generally give you a recipe to use it with.
As for dessert you could get some green tea ice cream or even make a green tea cheesecake, which, while no exactly Japanese would still fit in the theme and wouldn’t be that hard to make.
Other dishes would be Cucumber and Daikon Salad
Yakisoba – Japanese fried noodles cooked with carrots, cabbage and a little bit of pork.
You could also do a theme base on a colour like red, yellow, white or green and just have all your courses be mainly that colour, and a dessert could be as simple as a plain white cake, even from a box mix, or shortbread cookies with food colouring added to it.
